CEO Message

As our members prepare to begin a new academic year, we want to take a moment to reflect not only on this past year but also on where we are headed as an organization.

Our work environment remains unpredictable, with COVID-19 still affecting how we work, how we meet the needs of our members, and the priorities we have for our staff. In the face of many uncertainties, we continued to grow and enhance our ability to serve our members, deliver quality benefits and programs, build out our systems and processes, and invest in our people.

The major milestones we achieved together during the past year include:
  • Strengthening the JPAs overall financial sustainability
  • Maintaining “best in class” coverage for insurance programs
  • Working with our carriers to expand benefit plan networks
  • Providing new benefit offerings, enhanced programs, and additional member choices
  • Offering education programs and technical assistance
  • Adding more school districts to our JPA family
  • Hiring additional staff and adding resources to better serve our membership
A successful organization needs to continue to adapt, and we are ready to do that as we enter the new academic year.

Reinforcing Our Commitment to Our Vision and Mission

Although the unique circumstances of the past two years certainly influenced our approach to day-to-day operations, it has not changed our overall goal of developing strategies and initiatives in support of our vision and mission. Our vision reflects our goals of being a great place to work, a trusted advisor to our members, and an organization whose member districts want to invest both their time and their energy.

An organization’s core values are always vitally important, but more so today than ever. We remain devoted to our core values of integrity, excellence, reliability, safety, commitment, and respect. These values embrace a commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Giving Back to Our Members and Their Communities

Giving back through our members and their communities is at the heart of our organization. We also strive to partner with our business vendors to find new ways to develop and implement programs that benefit both our members and their communities. And members of our staff volunteer for numerous organizations as we continue to step up in times of need.

A Note of Appreciation

I would like to acknowledge and thank all of our members, districts, and businesspartners for their support and trust in our organization. I also want to extend my deepest appreciation to CSJPA’s exceptional staff. Thank you for exemplifying our core values and producing the high-quality work our members expect!

Our success is due both to our members and to the commitment and talent of our dedicated staff.

In Closing

This is an incredibly exciting time to be part of CSJPA. We believe we have an unprecedented opportunity to support our members, continue to invest in strategic expansion across our member districts, and continue to deliver innovative, full-service solutions that address members’ needs holistically.

We look forward to making the most of the new academic year—and the future—together.
