A basic life benefit will be paid to a designated beneficiary in the event of the death of the insured. The Human Resources Department will have the actual benefit amount available for each district. An additional amount of life insurance may be available on an employee-paid basis.
Depending on choices made by the district, a benefit equal to the life insurance benefit is payable in the event of the accidental death of the employee, or the loss of limbs or sight, as a result of a covered accident. An additional amount of accident insurance may be available on an employee-paid basis.
Voya also offers very competitive pricing for its Voluntary Supplemental Life Insurance programs which can cover, the employee, and dependents. Some levels of coverage are guarantee issue, while higher amounts need a medical questionnaire.
Family coverage may be available. Additional benefits are also available for employers to customize their AD&D plan.
