VOYA life insurance plan has a provision titled Waiver of Premium which can be very beneficial for a disabled employee no longer able to work. What Waiver of Premium does is it waives your life insurance premium that becomes due while you are totally disabled, and you satisfy certain conditions. When VOYA waives a premium, the amount of Life Insurance equals the amount that would have been provided if you had not become totally disabled. That amount will reduce or stop according to the Schedule of Benefits in effect on the date total disability begins. When VOYA waives a premium it includes Life Insurance, Accelerated Death Benefit, and Waiver of Premium. It does not include AD&D Insurance or any other benefits as elected under this certificate which were effective at the time of disability.

Please be aware the date of disability recognized by VOYA is the date the employee leaves active employment, not the date they exhaust their sick bank or paid time off. We encourage you to review the employees currently out of work due to a long-term illness or disability and either file a Waiver of Premium claim or contact your benefits manager for additional information or questions.

  • Answer general benefit questions such as: what a Healthcare Spending Account (HSA) is and how to use it, Consumer Driven Health Plans (CDHP), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), explaining copays/deductibles/Out-of-Pocket Maximum (OOP) and more
  • Assist with transition of care and transferring medical records
  • Answer general questions about prescription benefits such as: formulary, multi-tier plans, generic or mail order Rx
  • Locating in-network providers

Plus, CSEBA recently switched to a secure member website so we encourage members to register on the website and download the mobile app. Health Advocate just implemented two-factor authentication for more account security, so we encourage members to enable it on all of their devices.


New tools and new ways to earn points

 2-Step Verification Process

As of March, 2019, all members will have to complete the 2-Step Verification process to gain access to their Go365 accounts. Members will need to confirm with a passcode sent to their email or mobile phone for each device – the first time they login. This process was put in place to further protect member accounts.

Go365 July Renewal

Members will automatically be placed back into Blue status on July 1, 2019. 10% of earned points will carry over. Bucks will carry over in full. Members can carry Go365 Bucks for up to 3 full program years. On the first day of the 4thyear, they will expire. An email reminder with more details will be sent to Benefit Administrators and champions later in May.

Walk Across America CSEBA Summer Long Step Challenge

 Challenge dates to follow. No teams- individual registration only. Top 3 steppers will receive 1,000 Bonus Bucks each. All other participants will be entered into a raffle to win Go365 swag.

Go365 2nd Annual National Step Challenge

Join the CSEBA team for a cause. You will be competing for a donation to be made to Feeding America for 1 million meals to be awarded across top placed teams of each division. You can register for this challenge from May 1st to June 2nd. The challenge will be between June 10th and July 12th, 2019.

May is Mental Health Month

This month is mental health month. As you may know, CSEBA is championing a year-long mental health campaign with new mental health topics, ideas, and resources every month.
