California Schools JPA is pleased to announce that we are offering the opportunity to achieve the ARM and ARM-P designation. This program will augment your staff’s skills and abilities to enhance your Risk Management Program. This program will teach the in-depth knowledge needed to assess and respond to the numerous hazard risks that every District faces. Your staff member will gain the practical skills necessary to avoid, reduce, and manage risks. This program will also teach the enrolled staff member to learn to adapt the skills that are necessary to meet changing elements and environments. Your Risk Manager will have the technical and applied skills to administer your Risk Management Program to reduce the impact of potential problems; both minor and major incidents.
ARM 54, THE FIRST COURSE introduces the principles and practices of risk management and delivers a broad overview of what risk is, how to identify and analyze it and how to deal with certain financial risks. There are three segments; A, B and C for this course.
ARM 55, THE SECOND COURSE encompasses and assesses types of risk including risk to physical property, crime, and risks that come from management and human resource issues. There are three segments; A, B and C for this course
ARM 56, THE FINAL COURSE builds on the other two, introducing the student to the practice of insuring against risk and financial strategies and considerations. There are three segments; A, B and C for this course
As an additional requirement, ARM candidates also must pass one of The Institutes’ online exams pertaining to insurance Ethics to receive their designations.
The cost of the ARM Course is $82.00 per segment (there are 3 Segments for each course – A, B and C) which must be paid at the time you register for the class. You must pre-register to attend these classes. This is the discounted cost for Students taking the course through California Schools JPA. The recommended book cost ranges from $204 – $366 (taxes and shipping NOT included).
ARM-P (Risk Management for Public Entities) – introduces principals and practices about Public Entity Risk Management and delivers a view of public sector risk management administration.
The cost of the ARM-P course is $74 which must be paid at the time you register for the class. You must pre-register to sit for this class. The recommended book cost is $271.40 (taxes and shipping included).
